Tips for Getting a Good
Night's Sleep
- Avoid daytime naps.
- Avoid nicotine (cigarettes) brefore sleep.
- Avoid caffeine (coffee, soft drinks, chocolate) before bedtime
- Reduce noise in sleeping area.
- Reduce light in sleeping area.
- Get a comfortable mattress, box spring, and pillow.
- Don't relive the day.
- Don't worry about tomorrow.
- Think about something boring.
- Have a light snack (not a banquet) before bedtime.
- Take a warm bath before bedtime.
- Read a book before going to bed.
- Avoid alcohol before sleep since it can interrupt your sleep later
in the night.
